Colossians 1:13 says:
For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness, and brought us into the Kingdom of the one He loves, in whom we have redemption, through His blood, the forgiveness of sins
In these 2 verses, several incredible things happen:
- We have been rescued from the dominion [power, authority, and rule] of darkness [being separated from the light]
- We are in the Kingdom [under His authority and protection] of Christ
- We have [past perfect tense] redemption
- We have [past perfect tense] forgiveness
- It's because of the blood of Jesus Christ!
In this we see our standing in Christ, forgiven, redeemed, and in His care. We have been freed. We are no longer under the rule of Darkness. Remember, the only power of the Accuser, is to accuse. When we stand by faith in the promises of God, we will not be moved!
